Χριστιανική δεξιά

Η χριστιανική δεξιά, αλλιώς γνωστή ως θρησκευτική δεξιά, είναι μία σειρά από πολιτικές που συνδέονται με την χριστιανική θρησκεία, οι οποίες χαρακτηρίζονται από την ισχυρή τους υποστήριξη σε κοινωνικά συντηρητικές και παραδοσιοκρατικές (τραντισιοναλιστικές) πολιτικές[3]. Οι χριστιανοί συντηρητικοί επιδιώκουν να επηρεάσουν την πολιτική και την δημόσια ζωή με την ερμηνεία τους των διδασκαλιών του Χριστιανισμού[7].

Η χριστιανική δεξιά έχει προωθήσει κοινωνικά συντηρητικές θέσεις σε θέματα όπως ο δημιουργισμός στη δημόσια εκπαίδευση[8], η σχολική προσευχή[9], το κίνημα της εγκράτειας (κυρίως αναφέρεται στο μη-κατανάλωση αλκόολ)[10], ο χριστιανικός εθνικισμός[11], καθώς και η αντίθεση σε μια σειρά ζητημάτων όπως η βιολογική εξέλιξη[8], η έρευνα των εμβρυικών βλαστοκυττάρων[12], η ΛΟΑΤΚΙ+ ατζέντα[15], η σεξουαλική διαπαιδαγώγιση[16][17], η έκτρωση, η ευθανασία[19], η χρήση ναρκωτικών, και η πορνογραφία[20].
