According to McClintock, a 15th century typesetter likely scrambled part of Cicero's De Finibus in order to provide placeholder text to mockup various fonts for a type specimen book.It's difficult to fin[1]d examples of lorem ipsum in use before Letraset made it popular as a dummy text in the 1960s, although McClintock says he remembers coming across the lorem ipsum passage in a book of old metal type samples. So far he hasn't relocated where he once saw the passage, but the popularity of Cicero in the 15th century supports the theory that the filler text has been used for centuries

Ecological Organizations in Thessaloniki[Επεξεργασία | επεξεργασία κώδικα]

Thessaloniki it’s a city that really has been progressive about making voluntary actions that are centered around environmental issues. Specifically, these actions seek to raise awareness and mobilize the public era to make changes that are necessary towards a sustainable world and redefine the relationship between humans and nature.

Fridays for Future Thessaloniki[Επεξεργασία | επεξεργασία κώδικα]

The organization «Fridays for Future Thessaloniki»  was established by members of the AUTH.While they were attending the global mobilization of March 15,they decided to join it. Within a week they organized the mobilization and created "Fridays for Future Thessaloniki". The group is made up of ten members and does not just organize protests. This group also wants to organize informative events in schools. Particularly, their goal is to inform, sensitize people to do” something”.

On September of 27th   in 2019 , this group started a climate change strike at the White Tower of Thessaloniki whereas all  the members were caring banners that said :"Shame, shame we ruined the climate and made the planet another victim" ,"Lignite, you burned down our house." ,"One tree a day for the earth to get air." A lot of people were shouting about climate change in front of the White Tower. Millenials, young children, parents, people on their bicycles, old people and a lady dressed in plastic  were rioting by sending their own message with the aim of doing something  to motivate others. By protesting, thet altered the agenda and started a debate . They also have submitted requests to the Parliament  which include issues like the promotion of bio products and market localization.

The Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki is one of the oldest ecological movements in Greece. It was founded in October 1982 and a few months after it launched its first campaign against the construction of the Thessaloniki Ring Road, due to its impact on the city's suburban forest, also known as the Sheikh Sou, and proposed alternatives to local traffic congestion. , maritime transport, pedestrian facilities, bicycles etc. The Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki is a member of the Thessaloniki Voluntary Organizations Network , the Central Macedonian Civil Society Observatory , the European Cyclists' Federation  . Many members of the Ecological Movement have contributed to the creation of dozens of ecological and environmental organizations throughout Greece. In 2013, volunteers of Thessaloniki's Ecological Movement decided to create a social space that would be an attraction for many.Moreover they established an open space called Eco-city - a parallel city whereas  ecological ideas and social solidarity are being expressed.

It has been organized for the last nine years  in collaboration with organizations, networks, informal groups in the city. It is implemented thanks to the voluntary donation of a multitude of people who devoted their time and energy to both organizational and planning issues, as well as to more practical issues throughout the festival.Greenwave Festival  intends to encourage people by exchanging  their opinions and cooperation prospects which are beneficial to  solve social problems in accordance to enviromental protection as well as to entertain and develop the creativity of the participants.
