Σε απορία μου για το πώς γίνεται να αναφέρεται ότι έχει λάβει μέρος σε Ολυμπιακούς το 1948, ενώ απεβίωσε το 1938, πήρα την ακόλουθη απάντηση από υπεύθυνο της ιστοσελίδας sports reference.com

You are also correct that Robert Tait McKenzie did die in 1938 and this fact now appears on the website. However it is a strange fact that he was a competitor at the 1948 Olympics - ten years after he died. His sculpture was entered by members of his family for the 1948 art contests. It seems that no rule existed an artist had to still be alive at the time of the Olympic Games.
