Theodore Negris (Istanbul, 1790- Nafplio, 22 november of 1824) was Greek politician

Biography

He was born in Instanbul and descenended from an old lordly family in Genova .Because of his good economical situation he acquired remarkable culture .In 1818 was initiated into Filikh Etaireia (friendly company ) and he became one of her most active members.

He took part in A and B National Assembly and sebsequently allied with Theodore Kolokotronis because he wanted to surpass Alexander Mavrokordatos .

His character was erratic and impatient . Nonetheless he was smart and lurking . His ambitions in compination with his impatience ,led him in conflict with Alexander Mavrokordatos , who was ambitious too, and also with other significant people at that period.

He died in 22 November of 1824 from typhus in Nafplio .
