Δεν είμαστε Έλληνες, Βούλγαροι, ή Σέρβοι - είμαστε Μακεδόνες!
But of course you are Macedonians, you live in Macedonia. You are also Balkanians, since you live in the Balkans; and Europeans, since you live in Europe. Naturally, you are neither the only Europeans, nor the only Balkanians, and certainly not the only Macedonians. I wonder if you enjoy being confused with all these other Macedonians:
- Macedonians All citizens of en:FYROM irrespective of ethnicity (including Gypsies, Albanians, Vlachs, Greeks etc).
- en:Macedonians (Greek), well, you know these.
- en:Ancient Macedonians, nothing to do with you, but I bet it's the reason why you like the name.
- en:Bulgarian Macedonia, aka Pirinski, aka Blagoevgradians. Pure Bulgarians who hate to be confused with you, and don't use their regional name only for that reason.
- Macedo-Romanians. They also call themselves Machedoni to not be confused with you (who they call Macedoneni).
