Please stop messing with the greek alphabet and discuss your changes--Αρχίδαμος<font color="limegreen">μίλα μου</font> 13:34, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

You destroyed update according to UNICODE 5.1 - look here for proof: http://std.dkuug.dk/jtc1/sc2/wg2/docs/n3263.pdf Now Unicode 5.1 codepoints are final and stable. I only introduced missing letters added to Unicode 5.1 such as: Pamphylian Digamma, Archaic Sampi, Heta, all in both cases. I didn't make any messing, instead, you are messing by destroying justified update according to Unicode 5.1. Heta really exists: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heta and is approved by Unicode. There is a procedure for these changes, which involves discussion. The poor template has been changed thousands of times, mostly for the worse, and everybody just adds any letters there they think appropriate without discussing. I would like some more sources that there is a word χητα either in ancient greek or in the relevant literature and that the greek alphabet contained such a letter. The article refers to ητα (number 8 in the greek alphabet). I'm not an expert in the field, your changes might be correct but they might as well be wrong. In the meantime I will have to revert your changes once again, sorry--Αρχίδαμος<font color="limegreen">μίλα μου</font> 17:23, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

The english wikipedia isn't a source for anything. Please stop reverting and source the supposed existence of this "heta" as a separate letter. Unicode is just a coding system for computers, not a linguistic authority - <b><font color="black">Badseed</font> </b>απάντηση 18:35, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

Please stop reverting or I'll have to block you for today - <b><font color="black">Badseed</font> </b>απάντηση 18:39, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

I already stopped reverting, but placed heta in eta cell, as eta variant. Is that good? Other variants that I placed as variants are Pamphylian Digamma and Archaic Sampi. 91.94.11.205 18:50, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

For now, and for me, it is ok for now, so that things can be talked out. Please don't make any other changes in the article or the template until the issue with both "heta" and the other letters is solved in the discussion - <b><font color="black">Badseed</font> </b>απάντηση 18:56, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

All these variants are introduced into Unicode 5.1, and their codepoints are now already stable, and were already used by me in article. Unicode 5.1 in addition to these six glyphs (uppercase/lowercase) introduces too big Kai, which serves as Greek ampersand, but not as letter. Once again, unicode is not an authority on language, just a coding system. Whether heta is a real letter on its own right needs to be sourced, or else edited out - <b><font color="black">Badseed</font> </b>απάντηση 19:04, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

"Heta" is approved in English, German and Polish wikis, because it is a left half of Eta derived from Eta, that serves as spiritus asper diacritic replacement, to make /h/ as letter instead of diacritic. Even :Image:Heta uc lc.svg was created by Flanker in Commons. Even http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heta now exists. Thanks for accepting at least my edits with Heta as variant of Eta - they too introduce variants of Digamma and Sampi introduced in Unicode 5.1 91.94.11.205 19:33, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)

The articles in those wikipedias don't mean nothing-they were created today, maybe even by you (or me, for what it matters). I'm accepting the change for today-either it gets sourced properly, or edited out and "heta" (if it does exist as such) mentioned in the article about ήτα - <b><font color="black">Badseed</font> </b>απάντηση 19:43, 17 Ιανουαρίου 2008 (UTC)
