Ο NGC 709 είναι φακοειδής γαλαξίας ο οποίος απέχει 150 εκατομμύρια έτη φωτός[2] και βρίσκεται στον αστερισμό Ανδρομέδα. Ανακαλύφθηκε από τον αστρονόμο Bindon Stoney στις 28 Οκτωβρίου 1850[3] και ανήκει στο σμήνος γαλαξιών Abell 262.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
