Ο Τίμοθι Τζέιμς Κάρι (Timothy James Curry, 19 Απριλίου 1946 - 25 Αυγούστου 2026) ήταν Άγγλος ηθοποιός του θεάτρου, του κινηματογράφου, της τηλεόρασης, ηθοποιός φωνής και τραγουδιστής.

Είχε αποσπάσει ένα Βραβείο Emmy και υποψηφιότητα για Βραβείο Grammy, για δύο Βραβεία Olivier και τρία Tony Awards. Είναι ευρύτερα γνωστός για την ενσάρκωση ρόλων κακών στον κινηματογράφο και το θέατρο. Έχει υποδυθεί τον Δρ. Φρανκ-Ν-Φέρτερ στο μιούζικαλ The Rocky Horror Show (1973–1975) αλλά και την ταινία μιούζικαλ The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).

Προσωπική ζωή

Ο Κάρι δεν είχε νυμφευτεί και δεν απέκτησε παιδιά.[1] Θεωρούσε ότι το ιστορικό των σχέσεών του δεν είναι δημόσιο ζήτημα.[2]

Ήταν πρώην καπνιστής και είχε αναφέρει ότι στο παρελθόν έκανε χασίς και κοκαΐνη. Είχε πάει για αποτοξίνωση από το αλκοόλ αλλά δεν θεωρούσε τον εαυτό του αλκοολικό.[2]

Στις 13 Ιουλίου του 2012, κατά τη διάρκεια μάλαξης, ο Κάρι έπαθε μεγάλο εγκεφαλικό,[3] το οποίο χρειάστηκε εγχείρηση στον εγκέφαλο.[2] Έκτοτε, χρησιμοποιούσε αναπηρικό αμαξίδιο.[4] Είχε ακόμα κινητικά προβλήματα, ιδίως στο αριστερό του χέρι και πόδι. Επίσης, το εγκεφαλικό επηρέασε τη βραχυπρόθεσμη μνήμη του.[2][5] Το Σεπτέμβριο του 2025, ανέφερε ότι ακόμα δεν μπορεί να περπατήσει.[6]

Απεβίωσε στις 25 Αυγούστου 2026, σε ηλικία 80 ετών.[7]
