Sorry Greek is a little difficult for me. What are your obvious reasons? We'll move on the discussion page of the article. --Archaeodontosaurus (συζήτηση) 15:20, 3 Μαρτίου 2013 (UTC)[απάντηση]
Good evening from Greece! I don;t speak French but I think that you will understand me.

I want to please you NOT to upload pictures of bird eggs, because Greece is not like France! We have nasty people here, especially hunters, who collect them and even destroy them, thinking that they can breed young birds, or even thinking that the falcons or other birds ara very bad for their pigeons or so on...Unfortunately, the knowledge level of people living in the coyntryside is very low!

I thank you, and I hope that you will understand.

  • Of course I understand, I am a naturalist. Our fight in ornithology is the same in all countries. If the problem is more severe in Greece, we must show the egg and has the opportunity to say that we should not touch it and the law punished those who do. Wikipedia is the most powerful tool we have ever had, you should take advantage. Do not hide information but rather to circulate freely knowledge. Even this disccussion is useful. It shows that this problem is not limited to one nation, but interress all men. Greece has enlightened the world, continue. --Archaeodontosaurus (συζήτηση) 16:37, 3 Μαρτίου 2013 (UTC)[απάντηση]

Reading your answer, as a Greek living in his country -not abroad- and having suffered things that you can not imagine, I can conclude two things: first, that you don't know the greek reality and second, that you don't know the greek hunters!

The discussion we have, could have some sense if we were talking about people who RESPECT the laws! You claim that, if we upload the photos of the eggs and say: "please, respect the nature, we offer scientific knowledge!" everything will be Ok? This is a joke!! Really, this is a joke! In Greece, there is NOTHING left, especially everything concerning the laws!!! For years now, hunting in Greece is substitute to laws and the hunters NEVER,NEVER apply them. If you show a picture of an egg on INTERNET and say "please, take care if you see this" the very next day every hunter in Greece will go to collect or destroy them, believe me! You really don't know them at all!!

I am really sorry that I can not persuade you! I will leave the picture there -it is meaningless to play this game- and I hope that one day you will understand your mistake! Because this is a mistake! And remember: you offer science to people who are eager to receive it (for example to small innocent children) NOT to corrupted people who are ready to destroy. For them, every scientific detail, is a gift to continue their outlaw activities!

The Greek Ornithological Society, in which I belong, avoids to give sensitive information (photos of eggs, diagnostic features of nesting sites, the real existing number of endangered species etc). And everyone of them is a Scientist, a good Scientist, believe me!

Thanks for the discussion and good luck

Do not be desperate, we want a better way. It passes through the free dissemination of knowledge. I am very touched by what you tell me of the mindset of hunters in your country. Our only weapon is the word, because they are the ones who have the guns. if you think just take away the images of eggs. You can count on my sincere friendship.--Archaeodontosaurus (συζήτηση) 17:43, 4 Μαρτίου 2013 (UTC)[απάντηση]
