Η Μάσα Γκέσεν, αγγλ. Masha Gessen (γεννημένη 13 Ιανουαρίου 1967) είναι -αμερικανικής υπηκοότητας- Ρωσοεβραία δημοσιογράφος συγγραφέας, μεταφράστρια[11][12] και ακτιβίστρια που ήταν και είναι σκληρή επικρίτρια του προέδρου της Ρωσίας, Βλαντιμίρ Πούτιν, και του πρώην προέδρου των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών Αμερικής, Ντόναλντ Τραμπ.[13]
Είναι μη δυαδική και τρανς και χρησιμοποιεί τις αντωνυμίες τους.[14][15] Έχει αρθρογραφήσει εκτενώς για τα δικαιώματα των ΛΟΑΤ.[16] Περιγραφόμενη ως «η κορυφαία ακτιβίστρια για τα δικαιώματα των ΛΟΑΤ της Ρωσίας»[17] και για πολλά χρόνια στη Ρωσία ως το μόνο δημοσίως ανοιχτό ομοφυλόφιλο άτομο, σήμερα ζει μόνιμα στη Νέα Υόρκη οικογενειακώς.
Η Γκέσεν γράφει κυρίως στα αγγλικά αλλά και στη μητρική γλώσσα, τα ρωσικά. Εκτός από το γεγονός ότι είναι συγγραφέας πολλών μη μυθιστορηματικών βιβλίων, έχουν συμβάλει σημαντικά σε εκδόσεις όπως The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The New Republic, New Statesman, Granta, Slate, Vanity Fair, Harper's Magazine, The New Yorker και US News & World Report. Από το 2017 αρθρογραφεί τακτικά στον The New Yorker.
Εργάστηκε επίσης ως μεταφράστρια για το ιστορικό δράμα The Americans στο τηλεοπτικό αμερικανικό κανάλι FX.[18]
