English: Maj-Gen Kalbali khan Naxcivanski Kengerli (1891 — 1931), Jr. (greatgrandson of Kalbali khan; older brother of Jamshid khan, escaped to Iran after Soviet takeover of Azerbaijan, where he was general in the Shah's army until 1934, when the Shah ordered to secretly kill him and his brother Col. Ehsan khan Jr., in the back fearing his rising power. The fourth brother of the family, Lt-Colonel Davud khan Naxcivanski, was killed in Karabakh by Dashnaks in 1920, when he stood up for his brother)

This work was first published in Azerbaijan and is now in the public domain because its copyright protection has expired by virtue of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Copyright and Related Rights, enacted 1996, amended 2008. The work meets one of the following criteria:

  • It is another kind of work, and 70 years have passed since the year of death of the author (or last-surviving author)
  • It is a a posthumous work, published at first time during 30 years and 70 years have passed since the date of its publication
The Article 25.3 (amendment) was added in 2008: “Duration of protection determined by this Law shall be applied to all works of which term of protection has not expired until this Law enters into force”. Works of authors who died in 1970 or earlier, or anonymous works published 1970 or earlier, are public domain in Azerbaijan.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years.
