Η αγανόπη (λατινική και επιστημονική ονομασία Aganope) είναι γένος δικοτυλήδονων φυτών, που ανήκει στην υποοικογένεια ψυχανθή (τα φυτά που δίνουν τα όσπρια). [2] Σήμερα καταχωρούνται στο γένος 11 είδη, που συναντώνται στη φύση στην Υποσαχάρια Αφρική, τη νότια και τη νοτιοανατολική Ασία, καθώς και στη Νέα Γουινέα.[1]
